Every 510 thread cartridge in the Tarheel Terp Co. lineup requires this battery or one like it. The sit-on-top 510 connection point that the all-glass O2Vape bucket cartridges use is specific — the cartridge sits on top of the battery connection rather than threading into a recessed port. Standard concealed-connection batteries will not work with these carts. This Pulsar battery is the one we stock specifically because it is compatible and because the three voltage settings matter more for live rosin carts than for distillate.
Here is why voltage matters specifically for rosin. Distillate is thin and consistent — it vaporizes reliably across a wide temperature range without significant flavor variation. Live rosin is thick, terpene-saturated, and responds dramatically to temperature. At 2.4V the volatile terpenes — the limonene, the terpinolene, the ocimene compounds that produce the most specific flavor notes — are preserved through the draw rather than degraded by excess heat. The difference between a Tally Mon rosin cart at 2.4V and the same cart at 3.2V is the difference between tasting the papaya specifically and tasting warm cannabis generally. Bradley Walters described it correctly: the carts taste better all the way until they are empty with no burnt flavor halfway through. That is the low-temperature voltage setting doing its job.
Start at 2.4V. Work up from there only if you want bigger clouds at the expense of terpene clarity.
