Alien Tsunami Strain THCa Flower – Living Soil Exotic AAA
There is no entry for Alien Tsunami in the databases. No Leafly page. No Seedfinder listing. No breeder profile. This strain exists in one place — in the living soil beds of our new Southern Oregon micro farm partner — and now on our shelf.
That’s not a gap in the data. That’s the point.
Some of the best cannabis in the world doesn’t have a Wikipedia page. It has a farmer who has been watching it grow for years, taking notes no one else will ever read, and selecting for something that can’t be quantified on a lab report. Alien Tsunami is that strain. And what this farmer told us about growing it this run stopped us cold.
From the Farmer — Notes on Alien Tsunami
“This strain doesn’t grow — it arrives.
What struck me most this run was the way Alien Tsunami handles stress. Every other plant in the room, when I’d do a heavy defoliation pass, would show a 36–48 hour recovery lag — you can read it in the leaves, a subtle drooping. Alien Tsunami showed zero lag. She didn’t flinch. She looked more vigorous the very next morning, like pruning her was the thing she’d been waiting for. I’ve started thinking of her as a strain with an almost accelerated biological memory — like she’s been genetically shaped by something that pruned her aggressively over generations and she rewired herself to thrive on it.
The other thing — and I’ve never read this anywhere — is that her upper canopy colas and her lowermost popcorn buds smell completely different from each other on the same plant. The tops carry this electric, almost ozone-and-green-mango profile. But the lowers? Deep, slow, damp — like forest floor and overripe melon. Same plant, same soil, same light. Two completely different terpene stories depending on altitude within the canopy. I think light intensity is literally writing different chemical novels on the same genetic manuscript.
Personal tasting note: First hit is almost aquatic — clean and weightless, like breathing near a cold river. Then it warms into something tropical and slightly metallic, like a copper bowl full of lychee. The transition between those two worlds is the whole experience.” – a friend of StaeFli.
That last line. The transition between those two worlds is the whole experience. That is what we are carrying right now.
About This Farm
This is a new partner for us. A micro farm in Southern Oregon, growing no-till in living soil with an approach to cultivation built on observation as much as technique. Black Amber and Alien Tsunami are the first two strains we have received from them. Both arrived at a level we weren’t fully prepared for.
Alien Tsunami Strain Genetics
Alien Tsunami is a proprietary farm selection — developed and selected in-house by our Southern Oregon micro farm partner. Because this is a private cultivar grown exclusively for their program, it is not documented in public strain databases. Specific lineage details are available at SherlocksGlass.com.
What the farmer’s notes tell us about its genetic character:
- Zero stress recovery lag after heavy defoliation — suggesting a genetic background shaped by aggressive environmental pressure over many generations. Possibly landrace or near-landrace heritage on one side
- Dramatic terpene differentiation between canopy altitudes — upper colas expressing ozone and green mango; lower buds expressing forest floor and overripe melon. This kind of terpene plasticity in response to light intensity is rare in modern hybrids and more common in strains with complex, unselected genetic backgrounds
- The tasting profile — aquatic and weightless opening, transitioning to tropical-metallic lychee — suggests a terpene stack that is primarily limonene and ocimene driven up top, with myrcene and caryophyllene building underneath
This is a farm-exclusive cultivar. It will not be available anywhere else.

Aroma & Flavor
The canopy produces two different terpene profiles on the same plant. What reaches you in the jar is a blend of both — electric and green on top, deep and damp underneath.
Aroma: Ozone and green mango up high, forest floor and overripe melon underneath, both present at once Inhale: Aquatic — clean, weightless, like cold river air Mid-Palate: The warmth arrives. Tropical. Slightly metallic. Lychee in a copper bowl Exhale: The transition between those two worlds. That’s the whole experience
Terpene Profile
Based on the farmer’s tasting and aroma observations, Alien Tsunami’s profile appears driven by:
- Ocimene — electric, ozone-forward, green fruit brightness from the upper canopy expression
- Limonene — tropical citrus and mango lift, mood elevation
- Myrcene — deep forest earthiness and body ease from the lower canopy expression
- Caryophyllene — metallic spice depth that bridges the two profiles
This is a terpene stack that shifts depending on how you interact with it. What you smell first may not be what you taste last.
Effects
Alien Tsunami opens clean and light. The aquatic, electric quality of the first few draws is present in the high too — clear, weightless, and curious. Then the tropical warmth builds in. It’s a strain that moves through phases rather than landing all at once.
Expect:
- Clear, clean, curious mental uplift up front
- Creative and exploratory headspace
- Building tropical warmth and body ease
- Stress relief without sedation at moderate doses
- Deeper physical relaxation at higher doses
This is not a one-note strain. It rewards attention. The transition is the experience.
A Note on This Partnership
We have never worked with this farm before. Black Amber and Alien Tsunami are the first two cultivars they have sent us. After reading the farmer’s notes and tasting both strains, we can say with confidence that this will not be the last time you see this farm on our shelves.
Some partnerships start slow. This one started with petrichor and lychee in a copper bowl. We’ll take it.

Write a Review
I was intrigued by the description of this strain and I love trying new things. This smokes very very smooth, and it's very relaxing. I didn't realize just HOW relaxing until after I finished the bowl. I stretched out on my couch, and it felt like a cloud. My eyelids got really heavy and I went to sleep. Definitely would not recommend this as a daytime strain, but if you have trouble sleeping like I do, definitely get this.
If you try this strain please leave a review on Sherlocks’ Google Page here. Have a great day!
