Blockberry Strain THCa Flower - Living Soil Exotic AAA

Blockberry (Super Boof) Strain THCa Flower — Living Soil Exotic AAA

Leafly named Super Boof its 2024 Strain of the Year. The vote is not a small thing — Leafly has millions of monthly active users, thousands of strains in its database, and a Strain of the Year process that reflects actual user searches, reviews, and dispensary availability data rather than a panel of judges in a room. Super Boof winning in 2024 means that more consumers sought it out, tried it, came back to report on it, and described it favorably than any other strain in that cycle. Blockberry is the name the genetics traveled under before Super Boof became the dominant designation — both names reference the same Black Cherry Punch x Tropicana Cookies cross bred by Blockhead, and both appear on this shelf.

Black Cherry Punch is Purple Punch x Black Cherry Pie — the GDP-lineage grape and berry sweetness from Purple Punch, the dark cherry depth from Black Cherry Pie’s Cherry Pie x Granddaddy Purple lineage. Both parents contribute the same direction: deep dark fruit, indica body ease, the purple and red anthocyanin expression that makes Super Boof visually distinctive before anyone opens the jar. Tropicana Cookies is the cross that complicates things in the best way. Oni Seed Co.’s Tangie x GSC hybrid contributes bright citrus and orange zest from the Tangie-adjacent genetics and the uplifting creative energy that runs through the first phase of the experience before the Black Cherry Punch genetics settle things in. The combination produces a two-phase session that the Leafly community specifically described and returned to.

Phase one is Tropicana Cookies. The bright citrus opening — orange zest and tropical brightness — arrives first and runs with the uplifting mood elevation that the Tangie genetics in Tropicana Cookies carry. Clear, creative, social. The kind of onset that does not read as indica at all despite the genetics. Then the Black Cherry Punch side asserts itself. Deep cherry and berry sweetness building up. Dark fruit depth increasing. The indica body ease that the GDP lineage from Purple Punch contributes settling in and staying. The transition from bright to rich is the experience that made Super Boof the most talked-about strain of 2024.

In living soil the two-phase character is more complete than in any other cultivation environment. The limonene from the Tropicana Cookies genetics that drives the citrus opening and the myrcene from the Black Cherry Punch genetics that drives the dark fruit depth and the body ease are both terpene compounds that develop more fully in a mycorrhizal soil environment. The limonene is brighter. The cherry is darker. The contrast between the two phases is more pronounced. The living soil is not incidental to the Super Boof experience — it is the cultivation environment that makes the Leafly Strain of the Year character fully accessible rather than partially expressed.
