Does Key Lime Jack Taste Like Lime?

Enough that we wouldn’t have a problem with the name. But don’t expect lime candy from beginning to end. The first impression is bright and citrusy. There’s a tart quality that reminds us more of fresh lime peel than a sugary lime gummy. Behind that comes cream and earth, followed by pine and herbs from the Jack side.

What Our Team Thought of Key Lime Jack

We’ve had plenty of citrus strains at Sherlocks. The Key Lime Jack THCa strain stood out because the citrus doesn’t do all the work. Our team liked how quickly the profile changed once the flower was broken apart. The lime gets your attention first, but pine and herbs become much easier to notice once you’re inside the bud. There’s enough sweetness to make it approachable without covering up the old-school Jack influence. It’s also one we’d put in front of someone who normally likes classic sativas but wants to try something newer.

The plants still receive real sunlight throughout the day, while the grower can supplement the light when conditions aren’t providing enough. Grower’s Note

Key Lime Jack likes to stretch. The Jack Herer side can push branches upward quickly during flower, so the grower pays particular attention to canopy height and light exposure. Keeping that growth even helps prevent the tallest branches from taking all the good light while the lower flowers fall behind. By harvest, we’re looking for consistency across the plant, not one beautiful top cola and a completely different story underneath.

We’d start with daytime smokers, citrus people, and old-school Jack Herer fans. It’s especially interesting if you like modern sweet strains but sometimes find them too heavy.
