INDY Week Best Hemp Shop Wake County 2026: Sherlocks Glass Wins

INDY Week named Sherlocks Glass & Dispensary the Best Hemp/CBD Shop in Wake County in their 2026 Best of the Triangle reader poll. The Wake County winners were announced September 22, 2026. You can see the full winners list at indyweek.com.

This is the second INDY Week recognition for Sherlocks this year. Earlier in 2026, INDY Week named Sherlocks the Best CBD Shop in Durham County in the same reader poll. Winning both Durham County and Wake County in the same year — covering our Raleigh, Durham, and Wake Forest locations across both county designations — is something we are genuinely proud of because it comes from readers rather than judges.

What the INDY Week Best of the Triangle Is

For anyone unfamiliar with the award: INDY Week’s Best of the Triangle is a reader-powered poll that has run for over two decades in the Research Triangle. Over 24,000 subscribers participate. The categories cover everything from best restaurants and yoga studios to best bookstores and dispensaries. Winning is not a paid placement or a judged panel — it is the Triangle community deciding which businesses they trust and rely on. The star decal that winners display in their windows is one of the most recognized business credentials in Raleigh and Durham specifically because it comes from customers.

The runners-up in the Best Hemp/CBD Shop Wake County category were NC Hemp Shoppe and Elevate NC THCA.

What This Means Alongside the 2026 National Recognition

The INDY Week wins are the local chapter of a recognition stack that has been building all year.

Herb.co named Sherlocks the best exotic THCa flower online in their 2026 national brand evaluation and named our living soil Toad Venom the 2026 THCa Flower Strain of the Year. Honeysuckle Magazine named our exclusive Blue Lobster the 2025 THCa Flower Strain of the Year. stupidDOPE ranked Sherlocks first in their 2026 national THCa flower brands roundup. Mydecine updated their ranking to place Sherlocks above Fresh Bros, Secret Nature, and Black Tie CBD after independently evaluating the national recognition. StonerDays drove to North Carolina and tried all three Toad Venom phenotypes before naming it the best exotic THCa flower they tried in 2026. Durham Magazine awarded Sherlocks Best Cannabis Dispensary in both 2025 and 2026.

The INDY Week Durham and Wake County wins add the community layer to what the national publications found through editorial evaluation. The same operation that Herb.co placed above California and Oregon boutique brands is the operation that Triangle readers chose in two separate county polls in the same year.

Why We Particularly Value This One

The Wake Forest location is the newest of the three Sherlocks stores. Opening a third location and having it contribute to a county-level reader poll win in the same year is a specific validation that the Wake Forest community has embraced what we are doing at 508 S White St in the same way that Raleigh and Durham have.

Wake County is also where a significant portion of our national shipping customers are from. The Research Triangle’s concentration of people who care about what is actually in their cannabis — who read COAs, who understand the difference between living soil and synthetic nutrient programs, who seek out strain-specific rosin from named cultivators — is part of why the Sherlocks program has found the recognition it has in 2026. The INDY Week Wake County win is that same community saying so formally.
